Ten Things of Thankful: 8/17/2018

I'm late! I'm late! I woke up this morning and realized I didn't get the link-up posted in time. I hope you forgive me; last night John and I took John's parents out to dinner to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, and I completely forgot about getting this TToT party started. 

It's still celebration month here at the Ten Things of Thankful, though, as we continue our reunion month. If you've ever linked up with us in the past, please pop in and say "hi!" again, and if you've never joined, this is a great time to do so.

August already! Today I had a cashier tell me, "I feel like the year is over. Once July ends, the rest of the year is just a blur." We still have some summer yet, so let's have a reunion! I came across the following poem quoted in a  talk by Henry B. Eyring:

Some murmur when the sky is clear

And wholly bright to view,

If one small speck of dark appear

In their great heaven of blue:

And some with thankful love are filled,

If but one streak of light,

One ray of God’s good mercy, gild

The darkness of their night.

How interesting it is that gratitude is not dependent on circumstance. No matter how your week has gone, we would love to hear from you. Please join with us and share your clear sky moments or your rays of light in darkness.
