Ten Things of Thankful

Welcome to Ten Things of Thankful!

We gather here each weekend to share our posts about the things we are thankful for in our lives, and sometimes just to report that we've survived a difficult week; when we start focusing on the positives and the silver linings, we are able see that life is good. We also encourage each other by sharing pieces of our own journey. The people who participate in TToT are a truly awesome bunch from all age groups and all walks of life; I hope you'll join us and invite your blog friends to do the same, everyone is welcome!

At Ten Things of Thankful we believe that there are many little things in our lives to be thankful for each day as well as the big things that stand out. Keep in mind that you are not required to list ten things if you can't come up with that many, nobody is keeping score, just do the best you can!  You'll find that once you get started, more things tend to pop into your head! There is no specific format required for your post, you are encouraged to do it your way. Variety makes it interesting!  :-)

This week's TToT link-up will open shortly after midnight (Central Time) on Thursday night, and will remain open until Tuesday night, so you have plenty of time to work on your post.

Please visit as many of the links as possible, sharing your thoughts is what this group is all about; and PLEASE check back next week for new links that were added later, those folks will appreciate your comments too!

Thank you for your part in making our Ten Things of Thankful blog such a blessing,

Please take a moment to answer the following question  in the comments section below. It's a fun way for us to get to know each other a little better. If you could be famous, what would you like to be famous for?

  1. Being famous is not what it is cracked up to be, you can't even go to the grocery store without people staring or wanting your attention. Instead i'd want to be an anonymous philanthropist, so i could be "famous" for doing good without anyone knowing it was me.

    1. I love this idea, Mimi - a secret philanthropist who no doubt is often smiling knowing that a bit of good has been done! :-) You have a valid point about being famous, I wouldn't find it that much fun either, I love my anonymity.

  2. Thank you for hosting this wonderful hop. I would love to be famous for helping cats, like a female Jackson Galaxy :)

    1. That's an awesome idea, Ellen! Nothing is nicer than helping people or animals, or both, to get along with each other! It's amazing what can be accomplished with a little understanding. :-)

  3. My dream would be to become a published author. As an introvert the thought of fame gives me hives. So, I would prefer people knew my work (and were positively moved by it) without having to know me.

    1. I can totally relate to that May, I am not one to enjoy the spotlight either. It would be wonderful to be known as a great writer that inspired people without having to compromise too much of your privacy!

  4. easy one, 'the Wakefield Doctrine'
(in the context of it being a very useful, totally fun way to approach self-improvement and understanding the people in one's life. This, of course, makes writing 'the Wakefield Doctrine book' kinda helpful. That being said, everything I've written, since arriving in this place has been to get to that point. The very idea of writing the stories I've written to date is grounded in the need to improve my (writing) skills. and so, I keep writing and, without warning, I suspect, I'll find myself writing the definitive book on the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers aka the Wakefield Doctrine.)

    1. That's a wish for fame that just might become true, Clark, I can see it becoming a well-known theory in the years to come!

  5. I would like to be famous for having a beautiful sanctuary for senior cats that have lost their homes so they could live out the remainder of their lives loved and cared for. I would build it adjacent to senior care facility so that the elders there could come and enjoy the companionship of the cats and vice versa.
