Welcome to Ten Things of Thankful!
We gather here each weekend to share our posts about the things we are thankful for in our lives, and sometimes just to report that we've survived a difficult week; when we start focusing on the positives and the silver linings, we are able see that life is good. We also encourage each other by sharing pieces of our own journey. The people who participate in TToT are a truly awesome bunch from all age groups and all walks of life; I hope you'll join us and invite your blog friends to do the same, everyone is welcome!
At Ten Things of Thankful we believe that there are many little things in our lives to be thankful for each day as well as the big things that stand out. Keep in mind that you are not required to list ten things if you can't come up with that many, nobody is keeping score, just do the best you can! You'll find that once you get started, more things tend to pop into your head! There is no specific format required for your post, you are encouraged to do it your way. Variety makes it interesting! :-)
This week's TToT link-up will open shortly after midnight (Central Time) on Thursday night, and will remain open until Tuesday night, so you have plenty of time to work on your post.
Please visit as many of the links as possible, sharing your thoughts is what this group is all about; and PLEASE check back next week for new links that were added later, those folks will appreciate your comments too!
Thank you for your part in making our Ten Things of Thankful blog such a blessing,

Please take a moment to answer the following question in the comments section below. It's a fun way for us to get to know each other a little better. What is the best birthday gift you've ever received?
My #1 Son was born on my birthday, which is also my MawMaw's birthday.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is the best birthday gift ever! Papa Bear has a granddaughter that was born on his birthday. :-)
DeleteMy best birthday gift was getting Toby for my 60th birthday, Papa Bear asked me what I wanted most, and I asked for another cat. We adopted Toby from a rescue group. He is quite a character, and so very handsome!
ReplyDeleteevery year is different just happy that I could celebrate it with Him Indoors, of course x
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful attitude, I love birthdays and I believe we should always celebrate our lives!
DeleteThanks for hosting this wonderful hop. The best birthday gift I ever got was a cribbage board my friend's husband made for my 29th birthday. 29 is a perfect hand in cribbage :) My name and the date are wood burned on the bottom of it too.
ReplyDeleteHosting is my pleasure! :-) That sounds like an awesome keepsake gift, things that are hand made are the very best!
Deletestopping by to say hello...gratitude has been a bit elusive this year..and not much time for my mind to wander...thank goodness for summer...and a few moments to myself..hope you all are well
ReplyDeleteHi! I am glad to see you stopping by to check out our new TToT blog. I went back and read some of your earlier TToT posts and they were great! I think most of us understand times when life is a challenge and it is difficult to find reasons to be thankful. I've found that if I start with the little things nearest to me... pretty sunsets, a rabbit in the yard, a good dinner out, etc. gradually I'm able to see some positives in larger things too. If nothing else, we can always be thankful for another day to hope for brighter skies and more reasons to smile... and it comes my friend, I promise you it does! I've lived in the darkest places, and I know the sun returns. Please join us with a TToT post anytime, the linkup stays open until Tuesday night each week. You do not have to list ten things, no one is counting. Start with one, try for two, and we'll be delighted to see you refocusing on what is good. Positive thoughts make a big difference in dealing with life! XOXO
DeleteOn my sixteenth birthday, my oma gave me a ring that once belonged to her parents. It even has, engraved in the back, the year they were married. It was too big for my small fingers at the time, but I am honoured to have it.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very precious gift indeed, treasure that connects you to the past generations of your family!
DeleteWithout a doubt it was when my family surprised me a few years ago by being at Yellowstone when my husband went there on my 70th birthday. It was such a fun and totally unexpected week together.
ReplyDeleteThat was truly the most wonderful gift of all, time with your family that everyone could enjoy... what a fun memory to keep forever!
