Welcome to Ten Things of Thankful!
We gather here each weekend to share our posts about the good things that are happening in our lives, and sometimes just to share that we've survived a rough week. When we start focusing on the positives and the silver linings, we find that life is pretty good, and we encourage each other by sharing pieces of our own journey. It's a truly awesome group of people; I hope you'll join us and invite your blog friends to do the same!
At Ten Things of Thankful we believe that there are many little things in our lives to be thankful for each day as well as the big things that stand out. Keep in mind that you are not required to list ten things if you can't come up with that many, nobody is keeping score, but do the best you can! You'll find that once you get started, more things tend to pop into your head! :-)
This week's TToT link-up will open shortly after midnight (Central Time) on Thursday night, and will remain open until Tuesday night, so you have plenty of time to work on your post. PLEASE check back next week for new links that were added later, those folks will appreciate your comments too!
Thank you for being one of the blessings in my life,
Josie Two Shoes <3
Please take a moment to complete this statement in the comments section below: Someday I want to ________________. It's a fun way for us to get to know each other a little better..
Someday i want to have a tiny house on wheels, and hook it up to a truck, and drive all over the country.
ReplyDeleteWow, Papa Bear and I say that all the time!! We watch the tiny house shows on TV and talk about how awesome that would be! :)
DeleteSomeday I want to travel back to Europe and spend some time in Italy and (do I get two?) and write that novel.
ReplyDeleteYes, you can have as many wants, wishes, desires, and intents as you can think of! :-) It is good to have hopes for the future! I lived in the South part of Germany for 2-1/2 years, and would love to go back now to see the changes, and much more of Europe. Italy would surely be a favorite stop! I want you to write that novel too, you have it in you and you are a good writer... do it! <3
DeleteI also want to travel to Italy again and write a novel ...
DeleteFlorence is always calling me back ...x
Someday I want to travel so frequently that I am no longer so afraid.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful goal and attitude, Kerry, we should all face our fears with that kind of determination. You've taken the first step... a huge one... in your trip to Mexico and I should like to see you travelling to all kinds of wonderful destinations and then sharing the experiences with us through your writing!
DeleteI love this, Kerry, and I wish it for you! You wouldn't mind if I tagged along if your journey took you to Venice, would you? Because that is my someday!
DeleteThis made me smile, May! I have images of you and Kerry negotiating the gondolas and winding streets of Venice, laughing and smiling all the way! Travel partners are fun!
DeleteAhhh Venice , somewhere else I'd like to go...
DeleteSomeday I want the words "I want" to be replaced by the words "I need," because I think people as a whole would be much happier.
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful thought Pat, I agree with you! We tend to want so much more than we actually need to have happy, fulfilled lives. :-)
DeleteWe often turn our wants into needs which makes us very unhappy. We should have few needs ... or wants ... live with less and be happy...
Deletego camping again with my teens. It has been at least 3 years we haven't gone summer camping. Maybe this time we would sleep in a yurt so we save time working on our tent.
ReplyDeleteThat would be such a fun adventure, making memories they could keep for the rest of their lives. I hope you can make it happen before they are grown and off on their own!
DeleteSleeping in a yurt would be great fun - go for it Carin..
DeleteSomeday I want to live in a tiny house on wheels and travel, just like Mimi said! I also want to meet some of the blog friends in person that I've gotten to know so well on line. I think those two things would work very well together! :-)
ReplyDeleteI have met a couple of my fellow bloggers in person, and my fantasy would be to collect about a dozen in one place for a long weekend. What a talkfest that would be!
DeleteMeeting blog friends - now that's a wonderful idea... And gathering some together - yes !! I'm up for that... x
DeleteSomeday I want to be brave.
ReplyDeleteThis struck a chord with me, Patricia! Such a simple statement, yet it says so much. Papa Bear is the bravest person I know. He has been through so much and yet he is never afraid to try something, to address an issue, or to move forward in his life. I want to be more like that, I want to be brave too, I want to set an example for my daughter.
DeleteYes, I want to be brave too... Working on it...
DeleteSomeday I want to find out what exactly I want, because I really have no idea. There are things which I think I might want, like going off in a camper and doing wild camping or walking the camino way of St James or climbing mountains in Wales or running my own creative writing workshops ... But I don't really know. Most of my life has been spent enabling others to get where they want so I haven't thought what it is that I would really like ... x
ReplyDeleteI know that's true, Maz, you've spent many years raising kids and making sure everyone in your family is taken care of, it's time for you to do something fun for yourself that you would enjoy. All of these sound great, I can really see you doing your own creative writing workshops, you'd be a natural!
